Meilia turns 3
3 years ago this little angel was blessed into our family. I can't imagine our family without her. She has made our lives full of sweetness. From hair bows to painted toe nails, I have enjoyed every minute of her girly self. She loves to shop, play dress ups, anything to do with princesses, dance, sing, and of course twirl wherever possible. This is why I wanted a girl! I'm in the making of my shopping partner and best friend. So why not celebrate this special day with a bang! Her favorite princess at the moment is Princess Rapunzel. So of course we need a Tangled Party!
The morning of her birthday was spent at the pool just relaxing with her brothers. While daddy was golfing. Everything was pretty much ready to go so I was able to get a breather myself. Luckily this time I wasn't making the cake or any of the deserts or the entertainment! Just decorating.
The cake was made by a local bakery called Cupcake Chic.

I'm so glad I bought blow up swords for the boys. They had so much fun hitting each other with it. These boys would have been so bored without them!

So before the big surprise guess arrived I tried to explain to the children with a Rapunzel book that if they believed in dreams that their wishes would come true. I don't even remember how I explained that one! I just told them to keep repeating "wishes do come true!" Then I opened the gate and placed the book down then closed the gate and told them to keep repeating what they were saying and that maybe if they believed hard enough Rapunzel would magically appear from the book.
The kids kept saying "wishes do come true!" And Rapunzel magically appeared!
Meilia looked all confused. Trying to figure out if this was the real Rapunzel she had met at Disneyland. Well, this was as close as we were going to get, so hope she believes it!
Rapunzel painted all the kids faces. Brady was really impressed with her artwork.

The girls sat and waited in the gazebo while the rest of the kids got their faces painted.
Kuulei's turn
Of course Kalani picked the snake. He's so into snakes right now!

Rapunzel then read stories, sang songs, blew bubbles, gave all the kids a bracelet, and gave the birthday girl a special gift.
By the time it was time for Rapunzel to leave, Meilia was so in love with her! After the party Meilia told grandma that Rapunzel was so nice to me.

It was sad to cut this beautiful cake. But it was pretty funny to see Rapunzel's sneak peak legs!
Of course we couldn't have a Rapunzel birthday party without a lantern! Here we are trying to light this. Never done this before and the instructions are in Chinese. Great!
The kids were very entertained by this.
As it's slowly flying higher and higher it dawns on us that this is a pretty big flame and that where ever it drops it could cause a fire.....uhhh duuu....
We are now screaming.....oh no it's going to land on the Stices roof and light their roof on fire!!!
Luckily Joseph was there to save the day by running to Stices and grabbing it as if fell in their back yard. They were just out their enjoying their Memorial day when some sort of white thing comes landing in their back yard. Forget Rapunzel, that was the high light of the party!! And it was Free!
