Kailoa's Baptism

Our oldest son Kailoa got baptised today.  It was such a beautiful baptism.  Brady baptised and confirmed him.  Grandpa gave a great visual talk about the holy ghost.  He had Kailoa reach into a sock to feel what was inside and to guess what it was before he pulled it out.  Things he pulled out was a toy car, marble, fork, etc.. things he has done all his life.  His conclusion was that he will have the holy ghost with him for the rest of his life.  Then grandma came up and gave Kailoa 3 gifts a pillow case to remind him to say his prayers every nite, a byu blanket to remind him of the warmth of the holy ghost, and a flash light to shine his light at all times.  Then Kalani sang a solo.  "when I am baptised"  It was the cutest thing.  He memorized the whole song in a few days of practicing.  At first we were going to have him sing the first verse then have all the cousins sing the second verse but during the week of practicing Kalani memorized the whole song so we asked him if he wanted to sing the whole song.  He said yes with a little bribe from dad promising him 10 bucks.  He just got right on stage and sang while grandma played the piano.  It was so sweet.  I then gave the closing prayer.  It was such a special day for Kailoa.  The spirit was so strong, I know he will remember how he felt this day for the rest of his life.  We are so proud of Kailoa and his decision to get baptised and become a member.  He is such a great example to his younger brother and sisters.  I know he will be a great leader in our family.  We love you Kailoa!

It's great to be 8 donuts!

Kawai and the kids came from Vegas.  Kailoa was so happy that they came for his day!  Thank you everyone who came!

This rainbow cake I made was pretty cool!  It wasn't that hard to make either.

Papa made it from Hawaii!  We were so happy he was able to make it to Kailoa's baptism.  He's been busy working in Hawaii.

The boys had fun playing basketball.

Kuulei loves vegetables

Our sweet little Kuulei loves to eat.  She will sit in her bumbo while I spoon feed her fruits and vegetables.  She's growing so fast.  She's our little smiley baby!

I'm 7 months old.  I like my new room and I'm actually in meimei's crib instead of the co-sleeper.  It's about time momma!  Meilia got a toddler bed when we moved into our new house.  Of course I get all the hand me downs!  I'll get use to it.  I'm sure mommy did since she was the youngest in her family, like me.

I'm eating more vegetables but they are getting old.  I think I'm ready for more variety.  I do love green beans though!

Kalani's taking pictures of me on the camera while mommy takes pictures on her phone.  I love all the attention!
Keep it coming....I'll smile all day!

St.George

After all the graduation partying we were pooped and ready to relax.  Mainly we didn't want to stay in our new house and unpack all our stuff and because daddy didn't have to start work until Monday.  So we headed to St. George with Grandma and Grandpa Norton and the Glaziers.  It was lots and fun and relaxing.

The boys loved riding the wave runner.

Yesterday when we got to St. George the first thing the kids wanted to do was get into the pool.  Just as we were getting done swimming I took Meilia's floaties off and started walking back to the house.  Meilia on the other hand started heading towards the pool, got in the pool and started walking toward the deep.  I screamed to Brady to get her, he sat there saying she's okay.  Then with my motherly instincts I jumped in the pool and grabbed her.  As I was grabbing her I saw my phone sinking to the bottom of the pool!  Brady then got up from the lounge chair to save my phone.  Thanks babe....we know what really matters to you!  Glad Meimei is fine but sad for my phone.  It is now in a bag of rice.  Hope it works!  Anyway that was our first episode.  2nd episode happened at the lake.  Brady and the boys were on the wave runner pulling a tube on the back.  Kailoa had the rope and threw it in the water and the wave runner sucked the rope in it's engine.  That ended our lake trip real fast.  But good thing we were about done at the lake.  We were there pretty much all day!

Meilia loves to follow Addi.  Addi showed Mei some of her gymnastics and Mei would try to imitate her.

Meilia loved the water!  When it was time to go, she didn't want to get out of the water.

Kuulei was such a good baby.  We were there all day in the hot sun and she didn't complain once.

She loves to suck on her toes!

Graduation Party

Brady, me, the boys and Kuulei drove home to Utah from Oregon on Sunday.  It was a long drive and Kuulei and the boys did great.  Meilia got to fly on the airplane with grandma and grandpa.  Good thing she went with them, she would of hated the 12 hour drive.  When we got home I threw a graduation party for Brady in his parents backyard.

marshmellow "cotton balls"

No we weren't handing out prescriptions.  Don't worry they were filled with candy!  Chris thought "What kind of party are the Norton's throwing!"  These prescription bottles read:

EKG cookies

Sad, I didn't get to taste this cake because when I was putting it away I tripped and it slid off the cake stand right onto the floor!

Chocolate dipped "thermometers"

Brady's family and friends came to celebrate!

Tutu and Siona

I was so glad this was finally over!  We had been partying all weekend and I was ready for a break!  Brady got offered a job with the Jackson Doctors at Central Utah Clinic.  He starts August 20th.  We are so grateful that he was able to get hired right out of school.  Now the pressure is on to pass the big TEST!  He will take it August  .  Good luck babe!  I know you will pass it!
