Norton Family Pics 2011

Today we took family pictures with Brady's side of the family.  We decided to take pictures while everyone was here in Utah for Christmas.  After we took pictures Brady had to leave to go on his next rotation which was in Oregon.  He just got done with his thesis paper rotation.  He was in Oregon for the first week in class while they explained how to do their thesis.  He then drove home to Utah to finish his paper.  So we were able to be together for Christmas break.  We were hoping he would get his family practice rotation here in Utah.  The school was trying really hard to get that rotation here but it fell through so they have to send him to Hillsboro to do the family practice rotation which is 3 months long.  Which means he probably won't be here for another birth!  Arrrg....! 

 

 

 

1 year done 1 more to go...

Oregon came and went.  It seemed like we had just got there, and we already had to start packing and move again.  We really enjoyed our stay there in Forest Grove.  We met a lot of good friends.  They helped us in so many ways.  It was a great experience to be on our own and have a ward family to rely on.  It brought our little family close together.  I actually had time to teach the kids and spend some quality time together. 

It was bitter sweet to leave our little home and community.  Brady liked it so much there, he says he could have done 4 more years there.  Me on the other hand I would have to have frequent visits back home to Utah.  But I could see how great of a support system the ward has there.  Most of the ward is student families and knows what everyone is going through.

We really enjoyed our 1 year there in Oregon and we will miss our friends!

Look who turned 1!

Meilia Poli'ahu was born May 27th 2010. Today she turned 1. Hooray! She made it a whole year without getting trampled on by her brothers! Maybe just a little bumps and bruises!




Our sweet little angel turned 1! Meilia has been such a sweet addition to our family. She is adored by all of us. From the minute she wakes up the boys run to her to fill her with kisses and smiles. She's sweet, petite, and we just love her to pieces!

Things I'm doing....

• I love doing the army crawl. I can stand on all fours but I'd rather stay on my belly.
• I can pull up on my bed rails and on mommy and daddy when they are laying down.
  
• Mommy tries to give me cow's milk but I don't really like it!
• I have 8 teeth so far
• I like to point to things to get the attention off of me
• I can do a bridge with my feet and hands
• I can wave bye, bye and clap when mommy says "yayee"
• I say mama and dada
  

As you can tell I love having a girl! I loved making all the decorations and her tutu! Girls are just so much fun!

Fun Run

 Kailoa's school put on a fun run to raise money for their school.  All the kindergarten students were to run for 10 minutes around the school field.  I was so surprised that Kailoa ran the whole entire 10 minutes.  He got 9 wrist bands which meant he ran 9 laps around the field.  Way ta go Kailoa!  Kalani couldn't miss out on the fun so he joined in and started sprinting.

 Kalani got burnt out about a minute or two after his sprint.

 Kailoa's leading force to running the whole time....Noah his best friend.  He wanted to keep up with him.  Turned out that Noah beat him by one more wrist band! 

I learned a lot that day about my two boys and how different they are.  Kailoa is a consistent pace runner while Kalani is a fast sprinter who burns out pretty fast.  This explains a lot about their personalities.  Kailoa may not have the natural athleticism but he is determined and will practice and practice to be one of the best.  Kalani on the other hand has all the talent, everything comes natural to him and he doesn't even know or care.  He will do it once and it will be amazing!  That's what I love about my boys they are both unique and have their own personalities.  I wouldn't have it any other way.  Love you boys and I'm so proud of your running today!
