last day of preschool!

Aiden and his teacher Mrs. Shaack

Aiden's Mother's Day singing program

We are sad to say good bye to preschool but not that sad because we will be returning in the fall. Aiden has graduated from the 3 year old preschool program! The last day of school was Friday. They had a circus party. Aiden was an elephant, at least that's what the sticker on his shirt said.
It's amazing to see the progression he has made during the year. He learned how to write his first and last name which is a big accomplishment. He really enjoyed preschool.
Some of the funny things during the school year:
- When school first started I asked Aiden who his friends were and of corse his first friend was a girl named Kate. I told him he could have boy friends too. From then on he made friends with boys.
- One of the mothers from school told me that when she was getting her little boy (Aiden's classmate) ready for school she asked him if he wanted to look cute and he said "No, Aiden's the cute one."
- When Kate's mother saw Aiden she said "This is the Aiden that Kate always talks about, he's cute."
- Almost every time I would drop Aiden off to school he would hide behind the classroom door like he was playing hide n seek and would wait until his teacher Mrs. Shaack or the kids would come and seek him.
- During parent teacher conference I was curious what Aiden was like during class. Mrs. Shaack gave me an example of what he was like. She said one time out of the blue Aiden raised his hand so she called on him and he said "Mrs. Shaack, I love you." I just started laughing. What a flirt!
She also said Aiden's very caring and listens very well. I was glad to hear that because he is totally different at home at the listening part.
- His favorite sharing time toys to take was his shark and dinosaur that growls. I asked him why he liked to take those toys to school for sharing time and he said, "because the kids laugh."
- When Kalani and I would pick Aiden up from school Kalani would run into the classroom, find Aiden and give him a big hug. Sometimes Aiden wouldn't want to give Kalani and hug and Kalani would cry. That's how much he missed his big brother. Eventually Aiden would give him a hug.
As you can see Aiden had a lot of fun during school, now we are looking forward to having fun under the sun.
