Our oldest son Kailoa got baptised today. It was such a beautiful baptism. Brady baptised and confirmed him. Grandpa gave a great visual talk about the holy ghost. He had Kailoa reach into a sock to feel what was inside and to guess what it was before he pulled it out. Things he pulled out was a toy car, marble, fork, etc.. things he has done all his life. His conclusion was that he will have the holy ghost with him for the rest of his life. Then grandma came up and gave Kailoa 3 gifts a pillow case to remind him to say his prayers every nite, a byu blanket to remind him of the warmth of the holy ghost, and a flash light to shine his light at all times. Then Kalani sang a solo. "when I am baptised" It was the cutest thing. He memorized the whole song in a few days of practicing. At first we were going to have him sing the first verse then have all the cousins sing the second verse but during the week of practicing Kalani memorized the whole song so we asked him if he wanted to sing the whole song. He said yes with a little bribe from dad promising him 10 bucks. He just got right on stage and sang while grandma played the piano. It was so sweet. I then gave the closing prayer. It was such a special day for Kailoa. The spirit was so strong, I know he will remember how he felt this day for the rest of his life. We are so proud of Kailoa and his decision to get baptised and become a member. He is such a great example to his younger brother and sisters. I know he will be a great leader in our family. We love you Kailoa!
It's great to be 8 donuts!
Kawai and the kids came from Vegas. Kailoa was so happy that they came for his day! Thank you everyone who came!
This rainbow cake I made was pretty cool! It wasn't that hard to make either.
Papa made it from Hawaii! We were so happy he was able to make it to Kailoa's baptism. He's been busy working in Hawaii.
The boys had fun playing basketball.
