Kuulei Newborn Pics

Today was the most stressful day.  I knew I was going to take Kuulei to get her newborn pics done this evening but at the last minute I asked the photographer if I could have Meilia in the pictures since Brady wasn't able to be here for the pictures since he was still in Oregon.  The package included the parents and newborn so I thought what a waste that Brady isn't here, what if Mei took his spot.  Well at noon I tried everything I could to have Meilia take a nap to be happy for the pictures.  Well of course the only day she does not take a nap is the day we take pics.  On the way to the studio she almost fell asleep.  I was so nervous going to the studio.  I'm always a nervous wreck when it come to taking the kids pics.  I want it to go well but I have no control.  When we got there Kuulei was sleeping so Kate carefully grabbed her out of her car seat and started taking pics.  She was so good with Kuulei and  Kuulei did so good.  She would get up and I would nurse her back to sleep then Kate would carefully take her, position her, and take more pics.  Meilia on the other hand was a pill to work with.  She would not smile or do anything we asked her to.  She just wanted to go home.  I don't blame her, we were there for like 4 hours.  We got there around 5:30pm and didn't get done until 9:30pm.  Way past Meilia's bedtime.  She was so tired and grumpy!  I was so worried the pics wouldn't come out great.  But these pictures are amazing!  No matter how hard it was that day it was well worth it.  My girls are going to cherish these pics.

We tried to get Meilia to lay next to Kuulei and hold her in her arms but she would not have it.  Kate even brought her husband to help and that didn't work either!
